The Best Alarm Clock? . . . I tried the Hatch Restore and This Is What I Think of It
I had problems falling asleep and staying asleep, so I finally caved in and tried the Hatch Restore.
The Hatch Restore
How do you usually wake up in the morning? Do you wake up with a blaring alarm that makes you want to destroy your alarm clock? Do you always feel like you can't fully wake up even after you've gotten ready for the day? Well, what if I said there is a product that may help.
On the official Hatch website, it states that the Hatch restore helps you unwind with ease, stay asleep longer, and wake up feeling refreshed. along with that, it claims that 50% exercised more, 59% felt less stress, and 24% had more energy than before.
Now, a lot of sleep and alarm products claim all of those things, but the true question is: do they really work? I'm here to talk about my experience with the hatch restore and if I believe it's truly worth the hype.
Minimalistic and sleek
If you're looking for an alarm device that won't disturb your minimalistic and Sleek style, this is the one for you. You just plug it into your outlet and watch it do its magic. The time is shown through the stitching in the front, which gives it a clean look. And the Hatch logo is located at the bottom righthand corner - making it not too noticeable but clearly stated.
IT definitely gets brownie points for its beautiful look on the nightstand!

How easy is it to set a routine?
Easy as one, two, . . . sleep
The hatch restore app is fairly simple. once you open it, it may look overwhelming but the steps are easy to follow.
there are three steps: Unwind, sleep, and wake. The Unwind and sleep steps have many options such as: the light color and brightness, the sunset and its duration, and a choice of having a soothing background noise or no sound at all. for the background and sounds in the unwind step; they range from categories like: "Guided rest" and "Dreamscapes." All of which are focused on calming the mind and unwinding for the night. in the sleep step, the sunset can slowly dim over time and you can set some white noise that plays throughout the entire night or however long you set it for.
For the wake step, you can choose your alarm and the sunrise you get to wake up to. There are many alarm options - all of which are peaceful like "Relaxing chimes" or "morning bird." The sunrise gradually brightens your bedroom, so you're not going from complete darkness to a bright light.
With all these steps, you can choose how bright you want the lights and how loud you want the background or alarm.
the Hatch restore's routine is so simple and fun to customize. The only downside is that I wish there were more options for the lights in the unwind portion, however, they make up for it with the abundant options for the audio portion.

How easy is it to use?
So easy, I could do it in my sleep
if you thought setting the routine sounded easy, then using it would be a piece of cake.
The button on the top of the device is for starting your routine, skipping through your routine, and snoozing or stopping the alarm. There are two buttons on the left side the hatch restore that decrease or increase the volume. And the last two buttons on the back are for the alarm, which you can control on your app as well.

to sleep like an angel, First you have to earn your wings
Being able to sleep well doesn't always come at a low cost. The hatch restore retails for $129.99 on Amazon. On top of that, there is a one-time payment of $100.00 for a membership and about $15.00 per month for a subscription. so with all of that, the total comes out to be: $245.00 right in the first month, which comes down to only $15.00 per month after the initial month. But the real question is: is it really worth all this money and time seeing if you'll even like it?
except your wings is money
Final verdict:
Worth it
IT is totally worth it. Although I do wish there were more options for the "unwind" step in the routine, From its beautiful look to the sunrise you wake up to, it is absolutely worth all of the $129.99.
Not only has my sleep been better, my skin and hair are so much healthier, I have gone to the gym more consistently, and i wake up without feeling the need to go straight back to sleep with frustration. I've had some of the most soothing nights with the HAtch Restore, and i'm never going back to setting alarms on my phone.
